Build Blueprint — Frequently Asked Questions
What is a PC build blueprint?
A PC build blueprint is a comprehensive build plan specific to your selected components. It verifies physical compatibility (GPU length vs case, cooler height vs case), provides a step-by-step build order, lists required tools, recommends thermal paste application methods, and plans your PSU cable connections.
How do I use the blueprint?
Select your CPU, GPU, RAM, storage, cooling, and PSU in the Assembly Tray above. Click "Generate Blueprint" to run compatibility checks and create your build plan. Use the "Print Blueprint" button for a printer-friendly version you can reference during assembly.
Can I save or share my blueprint?
Your build configuration is encoded in the page URL. Bookmark or share the URL to return to your exact component selection later. Use the browser's Print (Ctrl+P / Cmd+P) function for a clean, paper-friendly version of the blueprint.
What if my component isn't in the database?
If a specific component lacks dimension data in our database, the blueprint clearly marks that check as "Data not available" rather than fabricating a value. You can verify the missing specification from the manufacturer's product page.
Is the build order the same for every PC?
No. The build order adapts to your case form factor. Mini-ITX builds install the PSU first (for cable access), while standard mid-tower builds follow the conventional PSU → motherboard → CPU → cooler → RAM → GPU sequence. The blueprint adjusts the order and adds relevant notes for your specific case type.
