1. Our Editorial Standards

PSUCheck is an independent, unbiased website. We do not accept payment from hardware manufacturers for product placement, recommendations, or editorial coverage. Our content is driven by engineering accuracy and verifiable data, not commercial relationships.

All calculator tools, guides, and comparison pages are produced by our team and reviewed for technical accuracy against published specifications from manufacturers and independent testing laboratories.

2. Data Sourcing Standards

Every specification used in PSUCheck is sourced from published, verifiable references:

• CPU Power Data: Intel PL2 (Maximum Turbo Power) from Intel ARK. AMD TDP from AMD official specifications.
• GPU Power Data: Total Board Power (TBP) from NVIDIA/AMD official product pages, cross-referenced with TechPowerUp GPU database.
• Transient Multipliers: GPU and CPU transient scaling factors from Cybenetics PSU Lab published methodology.
• ATX 3.1 Spec: Transient tolerance standards from Intel ATX 3.1 Design Guide (2024 revision).
• Efficiency Curves: 80 PLUS efficiency data from CLEAResult 80 PLUS certification program public records.
• PSU Quality Tiers: Based on Cultists Network PSU tier list cross-referenced with Cybenetics test results.

If a data point cannot be sourced from a published reference, it is explicitly labeled as "estimated" or "unconfirmed." Leaked or rumored hardware specifications are flagged with a warning. See our full methodology for detailed formulas.

3. Correction Policy

PSUCheck is committed to accuracy. If you find an error — whether a stale price, incorrect specification, or outdated recommendation — we want to correct it promptly:

• Data corrections: Reviewed within 48 hours of submission
• Specification errors: Corrected and deployed within one business week
• Pricing updates: Batch-updated on a quarterly schedule

4. Update Frequency

PSUCheck content is updated on the following schedule:

• Calculator tools: Updated continuously as new hardware launches
• Component pricing: Reviewed and updated quarterly
• Core guides: Reviewed at least every 6 months
• Specification database: Updated within 2 weeks of new product launches

5. Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure
