Modular Cable Pinouts

Cable Compatibility: be quiet! & Corsair

DANGEROUS — INCOMPATIBLE

DANGER! Mixing cables between be quiet! and Corsair modular power supplies will cause immediate short circuiting and hardware failure.

❌ No verified pinout compatibility exists between be quiet! and Corsair. Modular PSU port pinouts are not standardized; mixing will cause direct short-circuits.

Why Mixing modular cables is dangerous

Unlike the component-facing side of modular cables (which are standardized ATX connections), the connector slots on the physical power supply housing vary widely across brands and individual PSU generations. Manufacturers like Corsair and Seasonic route ground, 12V, 5V, and 3.3V power rails to different pins on the PSU ports. If you plug a cable wired for Seasonic into a Corsair power supply, it can send 12V down a ground wire, instantly destroying connected RAM, motherboard components, or GPUs.
