DANGER! Mixing cables between Seasonic and Corsair modular power supplies will cause immediate short circuiting and hardware failure.
❌ Corsair (Type 4) and Seasonic use completely different modular pinouts on the power supply side. Plugging a Seasonic cable into a Corsair PSU (or vice-versa) will short circuit your motherboard, GPU, or CPU.
Why Mixing modular cables is dangerous
Unlike the component-facing side of modular cables (which are standardized ATX connections), the connector slots on the physical power supply housing vary widely across brands and individual PSU generations. Manufacturers like Corsair and Seasonic route ground, 12V, 5V, and 3.3V power rails to different pins on the PSU ports. If you plug a cable wired for Seasonic into a Corsair power supply, it can send 12V down a ground wire, instantly destroying connected RAM, motherboard components, or GPUs.
